My personal preference is to keep these meetings short. That is the
reason I posted my proposals several weeks before the AGM - so people
could digest them, discuss them privately, on the list, or at the
regular meetings, or on IM or IRC. By now I had hoped it would be done
to death, and the only remaining task was to decide on them by way of a
vote at the AGM. It appears it is not going to happen that way, and
frankly that is a bit of a disappointment. As I said, I like quick,
crisp meetings where everyone has done their homework beforehand.

I note there are no proposed changes to the constitution on the agenda.
I hope that is indeed the case. Discussions are one thing, but
proposals to change the constitution are quite another. I don't think
it is appropriate to have such an important decision sprung on the
members without notice; without giving them the chance to mull over it.
Maybe I should put that requirement up as a change to the constitution
at next years AGM. We should probably clarify the 3 month rule as well.
