Quite some time ago I advised the exec that I would not be very active as
a sysadmin anymore as a result of other committments but that I felt there
was still value in me holding my a/c as I was often able to react to
urgent problems on short notice (as I have on several occasions since).
I also said I wouldn't object if the exec decided to remove my a/c anyway.
I think these statement still hold true.
As all the sysadmin work is volunteer I think it makes sense to spread the
load across a number of sysadmins. Regardless of whatever else happens I
think we need to go back to using a tracking system to manage sysadmin
requests. I've used and like RT but there are quite a few others
available these days.
