I cannot, of course, speak for the exec.  But I think it would be good
to add an experienced person with a long history with the club to the
sysadmin team, so I would vote (if I had a vote) in favour of adding
Raymond to the team.

On another related note, I would also propose that old time Humbug
sysadmins who are neither current members nor living remotely near
Brisbane could well be removed from the sysadmin team.  It seems to me
to be asking for compromises if we have accounts with root access which
are never used.
