I did get a lecturer to come along to one meeting.  He came 
along to look at David Seikel's effort on getting Yellow Dog 
running on the PS3.

He only came that once though.  I suspect you need more than
social chit-chat and playing with hardware to keep a person
like that interested.  Regular talks would help.  I guess the
alternative would be to find one that had a hobby project 
outside of his normal academia pursuits he would enjoy 
sharing with the club.

The real point I wanted to make is finding these people is
hard when you haven't been a student for 20 years.  The only
lecturer who is still at UQ that I know personally now runs
the place.  We need new members from the student population.
