Yep, I'm aware of that, and even use it at work.

Something important to note about the new free ESXi offering from vmware
is that the only way to manage it is via a pretty heavy .NET
application that only runs on windows.

As a result, we have to run a windows terminal server on the ESXi server
to manage the ESXi server... Not an optimal solution at all.
