I brought a couple of these units --> http://www.popcornhour.com the A-100
model (now superseded).

Very happy and yet to find a file it will not play. At the time, they cost
approx $196 AUD each landed. Runs embedded linux, with good support by the
company for homebrew and hacking. The user interface is basic (does the
job), but there is support for media centres via plugin clients (MythTV,
GBPVR, etc), as well as community UI replacements.
