What I understand is, the new system uses a capturing web portal, so
you'll have to log in using your web browser. It'll also be blindingly
obvious if/when the new system is implemented for you.

Don't change anything from what you used to do. Heartbeat is going
away, but it doesn't matter if you continue to run the heartbeat
client. You shouldn't have to change any configuration to use the
'new' authentication system.

If anyone can confirm or deny what I understand about what's happening
with the authentication system, i'd appreciate finding out some more
technical data. I have some clients who are currently on bigpond
cable. It would be nice to 'automatically' log in to the web portal
for them.
