[H-GEN] Bigpond cable

Hi,

I know that discussion of specific ISPs is generally discouraged on this 
list, so I hope I will be forgiven in this case.

I vaguely recall recent discussion on Bigpond Cable.  Does it still require 
a BIDS2 client such as BPALogin (http://bpalogin.sourceforge.net) or is it 
now just straight DHCP?  Or something else?  I thought I remembered reading 
here or somewhere else that the imfamous heartbeat was no longer needed, 
but can't remember the details.
