I have played the odd game through cedega. In fact I hosted and played
a warcraft3 game on my linux box with 3 other windows computers
playing and no one noticed any difference, we played it for several hours.

I have had quite a bit of success using cedega with the few games I
have tried to run. Over the xmas break I installed tie fighter
collectors edition which is quite old and from what I have seen in
forums does not work properly in windows xp. It worked fine for me in
cedega except when I exited the game the X screen resolution was all
screwed up but that was easily fixed.

Transgaming make money from people subscribing to cedega and dedicate
themselves to making games work with it easily for non-technical
people and from what I have seen they have done a pretty good job.

Don't compare wine to cedega for games they are not equivalent.
