Replying to myself, I didn't make the reason for the 
urgency clear.  I have been thinking about venues for
the other events, and in some cases and contacted them 
for prices and whatnot.  (Details are on the wiki).  
However it rapidly becomes obvious that it it hard to 
plan when you don't know where the main venue is.  I 
guess this is just a repeat of the point Raymond made
in his talk at the last meeting.

So, if you have an alternate venue in mind there are
three things you must do:

1.  Send a post to this list saying what venue you are
    proposing to investigate in the next few days (by
    end of Monday next week say, 16/April).

2.  Obtain an expression of interest from that venue
    by the next Humbug meeting, which is on Saturday
    21/April.  "Expression of interest" just means
    getting them to say, "sure, we would be interested
    in hosting LCA in 2009".

3.  Either be at the next Humbug meeting at 6PM, which
    is when we will be discussing all this, or if you
    can't make it put _all_ the details you can onto
    the wiki (including who you contacted and what they
    said), and send an email to this list so we can
    discuss it in your absence.
