[H-GEN] HD jumper settings

Hi everyone,

Wondered if I could get some help from people on the list.

My flat mate has just purchased a new hard drive - a Western Digital 80 GB 
IDE drive.  But I'm having trouble getting it to come up as slave, and 
haven't had any luck finding jumper settings online.

Here's the string which shows up in dmesg:

WD800BB-22JHC0

The drive came with a jumper across the top and bottom pins located nearest 
to the power socket.

Any suggestsions will be most welcome.
