Hi,

I don't use bigpond but thought I would do a quick search for you and
here is what I came up with. It was just a quick search but hopefully
it will point you in the right direction.

In Linux you use the bpalogin client to connect to bigpond cable. It
seems that in the past people have had problems with the dce-server
address not being set from bigponds side.

Apparently you can edit /etc/bpalogin.conf and add it in yourself to
get it working.

The dce-server being not set also effects some routers that rely on it
being set from bigponds side.

Someone also said somewhere that the login name is now just the
username not username at bigpond.net.au so you could try that.

This article talks about people who were having troubles with their
route http://whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies-archive.cfm/645442.html
which is the same as yours I haven't really read through it but it may
help you out.

Kind Regards,
Anthony Irwin
