Wordpress is not a CMS, Wordpress is blogging software. While it  
might be able to do what could be asked for it's not designed for it  
and isn't particularly good at it - it's good at maintaining blogs.   
I would strongly recommend avoiding the use of a CMS, or any other  
form of publishing system except possibly a Document Managment System  
and even then I'd just use something like CVS or whatever version  
control system I happen to have set up.
