[H-GEN] Scanning Slides

I have looked at this exact same issue in the past. I recall seeing
scanners from HP and Epson with the attachments for scanning slides
and 35mm negatives. IIRC, they were at Harvey Norman with price tags
around $300+ (this was a few years ago). There was one model that
had an attachment to do some of the larger size negatives up to about
6"x4". This is the one I was most interested in, but at around $500
or $700, couldn't be justified at the time.

As for working with Linux ... no idea. They all had USB interface,
maybe one of the HP models also had a SCSI interface.

Now ... given that there a few of you looking at this, maybe there is
an opportunity for a bit of cooporation and collusion with a view to
saving each other money and hassles.
