Stephen's answer is spot in. Yum is what you need to use. It is always
installed when you install Fedora and is the recommended way of
installing packages and keeping your system up to date. "RPM hell"
simply doesn't happen anymore if you're using Fedora or Redhat with Yum.

Before you start using Yum you should probably run "yum update yum"
first to make sure you have the latest yum installed. There's been a
number of improvements in yum since FC3 was first released. The newer
versions run a lot faster.

I would recommend running "yum update" regularly to make sure you have
the latest bug fixes and security updates for Fedora.

"man yum" and "man yum.conf" are your friends.

If you need more help with Yum, feel free to ask.

Regards,
Menno
