I have recieved a letter on the afformentioned matter;
Dear Mr Bullow,
I am writing in response to your recent correspondence regarding
"suitable software" for Suncorp Internet Banking.
The Terms and Conditions for Internet Banking contain a short list of
the most commonly used types of software used by our Internet Banking
customers.
However, the Bank understands that not all customers use the software
shortlisted in the Terms and Conditions and so a clause stating that
other software approved by us may also be used. It is not practical
for the Bank to include a full list of every type of software that may
be used as the list would be length and frequently changing. However,
I can confirm that (Macintosh/Lunux/Unix operating system) and
(Mozilla Firefox) constitutes approved software.
I note your concern that the Bank may decline any requests for
compensation in the case of the Internet Banking fraud based on your
choice of software. When investigating any potential fraud that may
have taken place, Suncorp will take many factors into consideration.
Part of this may involve checking how up to date the security of your
software is, but no decision to decline a claim would be made based
solely on a user's choice of software.
Mr Bullow, I trust the above information clarifies this issue for you
blah blah blah
