[H-GEN] Samba browsing slow

Hi there,
I have a Debian machine that I use at home with a network of
Windows XP clients. Browsing the shares used to be nice and
fast with the old Red Hat box but is intermittently very slow with
the new Debian box. The same setup at work perform just fine.

The smb.conf files on both Debian boxes are the same so I can't
figure out why the home one is bad compared to the work one.
The home one is a lower spec'd machine but still way better than
the old one that had RH7.3 on it. I have 256MB of RAM.

Any ideas on what the problem could be? Sometimes I have to
wait up to a few minutes for Windows open/save dialogs to open
when they have previously been pointed at a network share! I've
Googled but not found anything that seems to have any impact.
David...
