Hi,

I have heard of 2 tools that I intend to look into when I get some spare
time. They don't directly relate to logging but are security related tools.

1. Tripwire. This is a program that will email you if any important log
files or system programs change etc which can help identify possible
cracker attacks.

2. Nessus. This is a program that trys to crack into your system and is
designed to help test the security of your machines.

The above explainations are my current understanding of what the 2 programs
do I haven't looked into it properly yet and am only relaying what I have
heard.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,
Anthony Irwin
