Hi,

I am setting up a MTA to send out email to the real world from multiple
computers on the network.

I have tried both sendmail and exim. I got both to deliver mail internally
e.g. anthony at hostname. I think procmail is handling the local delivery of
internalmail.

When I try to send real world mail e.g. address at yahoo.com I get this error
message relaying to <address at yahoo.com> prohibited by administrator

in the exim.conf file I have set what I thought was required to send mail
for computers on the network.

host_accept_relay = 127.0.0.1 : ::::1 : 192.168.100.0/99

#local_interfaces = 127.0.0.1 -- It said if this was uncommented only mail
from local interface would be accepted it is commented out.

remote_smtp:
  driver = smtp
  authenticate_hosts = mail.froggy.com.au

lookuphost:
  driver = lookuphost
  transport = remote_smtp

literal:
  driver = ipliteral
  transport = remote_smtp

All the authentication configuration code is commented out the above is
just what I thought was important for sending external mail across a
network.

Is there anything that I am missing? this configuration was created by
eximconfig. I have done google searching etc but can't get the external
mail to work only interal does anyone have any suggestions?

Kind Regards,
Anthony Irwin
