I have just received Xandros 2 Beta 2 only yesterday but it has a way to go
yet.

Xandros actually looks like Linux. Crossover is there for those who want
it. Version 1.1 (current) is still using KDE 2. As said earlier - it is
Debian and as usual, you can turn things off - like GUI. Xandros has a
sweet installer and after this part is over, one can turn it into any type
of Deb install they wish.

You would want Lycoris for this - it's as near as I have seen to a Windows
look alike. Lindows still looks like Linux. Trouble with Lycoris is that
you would have to buy Crossover if you wanted to run Windows stuff which
makes the purchase price dearer than Xandros with it bundled.

I have been once only and met you. I am on the Sunshine Coast and there is
(it seems) always some other commitment when you hold a meeting.
