I find VIM has this annoying behaviour of trying to connect to my X11
session, even when I'm not using gvim.. it delays the loading of the file
for 1 or 2 seconds which gets annoying fast.  Sometimes I actually get so
annoyed that I 'export DISPLAY=' just so it will stop.  I spose there's
nothing in that file that suggests a way to disable this behaviour.. I
figure I'm going to have to recompile VIM with all graphical support
disabled.
