The HP 5652 is a full bleed printer on A4, if you don't need that you can get 
a 5550 or similar for about half that price. When I looked a few days ago the 
hpijs driver does not yet support the 5652 as yet,  though HP state they are 
committed to supporting all of their printers on OS systems.

The HP cartridges are refillable 4-5 times which makes them reasonably 
economical to use. When the nozzles wear out you replace the cartridge in 
question. You can refill the Epson also but the heads are part of the printer 
not the cartridge so after your 4-5 refills or whatever you have to trash 
your printer.

I'm considering buying the 5652 printer myself when it finds its way into the 
hpijs driver. Meanwhile I installed the $49 HP 3325 on my Debian Woody system 
using CUPS and compiling the latest hpijs diver. It just worked with no 
problems.
