There is a sco server running a warehouse application that requires wyse60 
terminals. Used ones are hard to get by and new ones are way to expensive.

However, older, simpler pc's are available in abundance. That's why.

1: in this case stands for the first available console i.e. ALT+F1.

I ended up doing a 1:3:respawn:/usr/local/bin/wy60 -c ssh scoserver which 
appears to run ok.
