[Hey, Jim, consider cleaning up your posts a bit before sending them
onto the lists, okay? Just this once I'm going to do it for you.
Non-member bounce, need to subscribe to a -post list, etc etc etc.

I have been with Internode for a couple of years now (or close to it),
and I can not fault them (Internode) in terms of service and being
linux friendly (the odd occasion I had to call always the result of
Telstra infrastructure probs tho).

The value for money has been getting better too - I now have 2GB/month
downloads, which although not as attractive as some of the cheaper
unlimited services, I do get static IP, a reliable service, and as I
just quite recently discovered: unmetered downloads from their
mirrors!!!

That had been my only problem - I could not afford to download the
latest linux iso images any time I needed. But with unmetered
downloads from their mirror server, the 2GB/month is plenty (for me).

Worth taking into consideration when choosing your ISP.

Now, I am just waiting for the Mandrake 9.1 iso's to make their way to
the internode mirror servers :)
