I use a NetCom Roadster 56 externel modem and put the same details into
each distro ie isp phone number ,username, password and sometimes dns
numbers if needed . I've tried KPPP , gnome's dialer ,wvdial, pppd and
others . They all drop out 2 seconds after connecting or connect falsely
so you can't get anywhere.
I have searched the net for ideas, all I can find is about turning off
the lock , this makes no differance.
As I have said with RedHat and Debian under the same conditions I get on
easy.
I hope this can help.
Thankyou ,
Rodney.
