Hmm.. id_rsa should be an rsa private key for ssh protocol v2.
This file should not be an RSA1 key so why is it even looking at it that
way?  Could you have configured it to look at this file as an RSA1 key?
Be sure _not_ to post the id_rsa file whatever you do.

Are you trying to make an ssh protocol v1 or v2 connection to the remote
box?  v2 would normally be default these days.

Really look like it isn't seeing the key type it expects.

Fair enough, but is your client trying to negotiate using protocl v1 or
v2?
