Others will have more informed advice on this point.  For me,
they are too heavy.  Before you take this too seriously, consider
that I spend most of my time at the command line interface.

This is certainly my preferred option.  As far as almost all
applications are concerned, most window managers do enough of
the following that it doesn't matter.
