Good point, that'd work too for Jason's requirement.
On my home PC, I run two completely separate X servers each with its
own GDM greeter, so that SWMBO and I can each be logged in
simultaneously, and not have to log out if the other one just wants to
check their mail[1].
Warning: if you do this, DISABLE all processor intensive screen savers!!!
