Yep, I've done some tests here...
My Laptop LCD Screen (Toshiba Satellite 2250 CDT):
0 sec
Hitachi CM 753ET (19"):
1.49 sec
ViewSonic E653 (15"):
1.72 sec
Samsung SyncMaster 17GLsi (17"): <1>
0.49
The laptop was no suprise, being an LCD. Also, I run the console at
800x600, so this may have affected the result. My monitor turned out to
be a full 1 sec slower than the older 17" monitor I used to use. I'm
not energetic to drag out the old 20" (Phillips C20) we've got sitting
in the garage <2>.
1> It's connected to a Mirage-MMC fixed-frequency video card (S3 Savage
2000). Was susposed to be hooked up to a Silicon Graphics GDM-20D11
monitor, but only the 17" monitor will tollerate the 100Hz refresh rate.
2> It's in there due to a slight horizontal sync problem -- we've got to
get it fixed one of these days...
