I also went to this site (actually independently found it via Google)
and it has a pointer to a site which claims to have drivers:

http://www.mit.edu/~raindel/

I pulled the files down but of course could not test them.  It suggests
there may be compile time issues, so this problem may yet get more
annoying.

Steve, it is entirely likely you'd get significantly better performance
using a non-winmodem (eg, an external modem), and with less hair-pulling.
