It did complete successfully, but upon rebooting fsck reported the same
error(Bad Superblock) and wouldnt boot, not knowing what to do I
formatted(best option I could come up with at the time)

Yes I believe this to be true, as I managed to circumvent the problem by
setting the fstab not to check / with fsck on boot, BSD booted fine, but
while recompiling my Kernel(Forgot the damn soundcard module AGAIN, DUH!)
the computer froze, so I promptly took to the HDD with a brick.
Which brings me to my next question I wouldnt mind asking, I'm going to
rebuild from scratch tonight on another HDD and was wondering this: The DRM
modules are compiled with my Kernel, BUT, do I need to specify device
drm (or some such command) in my Kernel Configuration file before compiling
to enable DRM?
.

This is good news, i'm sure this won't be the last time I will be screaming
for help and it's nice to know that this mailing list (which is a pleasure
to subscribe to) will be able to help me, I just hope that my question's and
explainations are good enough for people to make sense of :)
To anyone who hasn't tried BSD I strongly recommend you do, if someone like
me can build a stable fast system basically from scratch then I think anyone
can!
