[ Humbug *General* list - semi-serious discussions about Humbug and ]

G'day David & Robert,
always good to hear from the Time Traveller1
sigh................
and such sensible advice from you both. I will obey.
But I was so looking forward to taking a dual processor to Humbug to
play with, one day!
So I will keep looking for a faster/newer dual prcessor system, to play
with. Perhaps an 800 Mz pair?
The new stuff is just too expensive to keep just for Humbug.
I just don't know what to do with the 3 scsi hdd's in side, if I gut the
boxen! Are they very much slower than the ide hdd's?
The 4 Gb one takes about 15 seconds to spin up, according to the bios.
The other seem about as slow.
One final qustion
How much 'faster' is a dual 200 [total 400 Mz?] over a single 500 Mz [my
current Humbug boxen]cpu.
5% , 10% or not at all?
Tahnks for you help
