I quite regularly use either SMB when I'm using Dreamweaver for
transferring files.  If you care about the file permissions, however, I
recommend FTP.

The other method I use (unavailable under Win32 without cost) is using
NFS, which works nicely.  Cygwin with SSH can also be useful if you're
on the web and don't want to risk unsecured protocols.
