This package doesn't sound too bad -- and if I get the opportunity (I've
been more busy during the mid-semester break than during the semester),
I'll consider having a closer look.
Actually, on the topic of telephony, I've got a Linux machine here with
a D-Link DFM-56OI+ PCI modem (Connexant HCF) installed and working, is
it possible to set this up as a Phone<->Voice-over-IP gateway? Or would
I actually need a telephony card? I've also got an external Swann
NetSlider II modem that can be used if the el-cheapo D-Link won't cut it.
I wouldn't mind being able to make my computer function as a telephone,
especially if it can be done over the LAN -- as this means just about
any computer in the house becomes a telephone.
If anyone knows of something that is able to do this, that would be
great -- although, all else fails, I've got the AT commands to pick up
the phone, dial, etc, so making a program to do it is not out of the
question.
