The DivX crowd reduce me to tears sometimes. I'm no expert on
video formats and so on, but I can tell with comparitive ease the
difference between a DVD MPEG and a DivX steam. Of course, stored
media replay isn't the issue here.

Any good video capture source is not cheap. An example was the
DV500 of my brothers. $2500AUD was around the list price in .au when it was
released. Video hardware of course is subject to the same laws as
audio gear. Increased price with diminishing returns.

*Za-za-zapp* I'm a big fan of coloured cables, boots, and even jacks.
Gives me a valid reason to put the steel capped boot into the person
when they ignore previous instructions and conventions.
