Probably no help to you but others on the list maybe interested. I recently
came across an article that described how to use a linux server to create
PDF files from windows workstations.

The basic concept was that the linux box was a samba server that shared a
"printer". The windows boxes then used a Postscript driver (they recommened
some sort of Apple printer driver) to print the documents to it. The linux
box then used some sort of converter program and saved the resulting PDF
document onto the samba share.

I haven't actually set it up at the moment but I will in the near future and
see how it goes.

Regards
Harry
