Hi All,

According to my calendar, Andrae Muys is scheduled to do a talk this
weekend, "Introduction to Concurrency", although I'm not sure whether
it's actually going ahead or not. (Andrae, is the talk happening, or
shall we reschedule?)

The talk, once we confirm it does occur this meeting, will most likely
kick off at 7pm in the separate room we have booked for DSIG meetings,
given the specialised nature of the material. Going on what Andrae has
done for HUMBUG in the past, it should be a very good talk, well worth
the time and effort to see.

The meeting after that, we have our big joint Brismesh-HUMBUG Day, where
several presenters will be giving talks. One will be from Brismesh
giving a "Introduction to Brismesh" talk, one will be from HUMBUG, doing
an "Introduction to HUMBUG" talk (most likely Yours Truly), and of
course, we've got Paul Gampe from Red Hat coming in to do a talk on
internationalisation issues (i18n).

Now we have Paul's talk locked in for the 1st of February, but so far,
we've had no real feedback on what people would like to see for the
talk. From discussions with several Important People, we're fairly
certain that the talk will focus on two areas: 1) an advocacy-type talk
focusing on the need for i18n and what Red Hat is doing about it and 2)
a more-technical angles; perhaps an overview of the general process of
internationalising an application under Linux.

Please pipe up and tell us what you want to see at the talk. We need to
let Paul know very, very soon what we want to see at the talk, and I'd
prefer not to put the poor guy out by telling him what the talk's on
three days before the event :-)

We've got several other talk ideas and proposals on the boil at the
moment, so the next few months should see some interesting speakers and
topics making an appearance at the 'BUG.

-warmest regards,

Ben.
