I've noticed a disturbing trend over the last couple of meetings, that
of network and power cabling being strung up in a dangerous manner [1].

The lighting structures being used to hang cables off are clearly not
very strong, yet I see people using them to balance themselves while
they're standing precariously on a chair. I doubt the weight of cables
by themselves is enough to pull the structures down, but they
certainly wobble in an alarming way.

I would ask people to cease dangling cables in this manner and revert
to the tried and proven method of laying cabling on the floor, placing
the cable flush against desks and groves, and looping cables around
table legs.

I should make it clear that this is not a high and mighty directive
from the executive, but a request from someone who doesn't want to see
people injured at meetings.

thanks,

1. It reminds me a lot of the current kerfuffle caused by the low
lying pay tv cables in Brisbane.
