I'm sorry? It's fine for you to making sweeping and uninformed
statements about entire classes of applications, but the rest of us must
pretend we're in a high school debating class. Forgive my transgression,
Mr Speaker.

Please don't try that on. The package name is not the filename.

Let's see. Possibly we could do something like place all rpms in
something like /var/spool/rpms/pending, run rpm --get-pending, then do
something like rpm --show-pending, and *then* do rpm -Uvh
actual-package-name.
Or we could just do rpm -Uvh foo-version.arch.rpm.

Crivens. For someone who implicitly boasts of his intellectual vigour
and enormous skills, you seem to lack grace. Here's a clue Greg - I was
not attacking you in any manner. I've never claimed to be an mental
giant - quite the opposite - and I would have welcomed your point of
view. Leave the snideness for the BSD lists, or where-ever.
Oops, that's the three minute bell. I'll stop now.
