While there is no room in my backpack for a cluster as well as my PC, I
have already offered to be the setup guy. I am reliably at the meetings
from the very beginning to whenever we get kicked out. The first thing I
do is setup my own file server, the second thing I can do is setup the
cluster. This gives the custodians less to worry about. I could probably
organise to be at the other end to connect the cluster to the net, but that
will have to be hashed out at the meeting.
The very few times I am not at a meeting (once so far) I make sure I inform
the list so that anybody relying on my server being there has plenty of
warning.
