[H-GEN] EBCDIC -> ASCII

Hi Guys,

I am trying to conver an EBCDIC file to ASCII, I am using the command,

dd conv=ascii if=infile of=new.txt

When I look at new.txt I see that it doesn't really contain any newlines,
this could be that the original EBCDIC file doesn't have new lines, but
it could be that I am running dd incorrectly, can anyone with greater
knowledge on this subject enlighten me as I am not sure after reading
the manpage..
