I've been using Linux 2.6.0-test3 on my laptop (Toshiba Protege 7010CT)
for some time now, and so far, apart from little problems, its been great.

My sound (Yamaha OPL3-SA2) works great in 2.6 without any hassles. It
didn't work _at all_ under 2.4. USB-storage can be a bit dicey, and
PCMCIA can lock up the system if I insert or eject cards while the
system is running, but otherwise, everything else seems to work fine.

I've also ran it on my main machine (Dual Pentium-3 1GHz, 1GB RAM)
without too many hassles (apart from DRI sometimes not working).

It definately seems a little faster than 2.4.
