I tend to agree.  Unlike the "main" meetings, these talks specific
meetings are less likely to need Internet access.  In all liklihood the
only box at the meeting will be one used to display the talk on the big
screen.

Having said this it probably wouldn't be hard for Humbug to get the Ok to
plug into the lecture threatre subnets at these times since we have
allocated IPs on the lecture theatre subnet anyway.  It may be useful for
the talker to have Internet access to help out in their
demonstration/discussion.

Sounds like it is gaining momentum.  If these meetings did take off it may
be possible to transfer talks permanently away from the main meetings to
the specialised talk meetings.  Although talks have periodically been held
in seperate rooms during normal meetings we might get a better turn out
for the talks if they were held on a week night once a month.
