[H-GEN] Internal Network Problems

Hi All,
I have a FreeBSD box doing smtp, ftp, www and internet routing, up until yesterday it was all flawless. Yesterday I arrived at work, and found I couldnt login to the box over ssh from the internal network, it would ask for a login name to use(putty) and then just freeze indefinatly, smtp and ftp both display the same symtoms(although I did manage to login to the ftp ONCE) but from the outside world all these services work fine(I ended up getting onto the box by ssh'ing to another box I have access to, then ssh'ing from that box to the local box, you can imagine the latency!) Has anyone seen this behaviour before, services that just time out when accessed from the local network, but operate fine from any address thats not on the 192. address range?

To try and solve the mystery I telnetted to the SSH port, the first message is displayed (SSH <version> for FreeBSD <version>) and then no more data is transmitted.

Any ideas, even as to where I should start looking ?

cheers,
        Joe
