That's all well and good, BUT, Ewan originally asked about a webcam device,
which the DC3400 isn't (not really), while the DVC325 is.  One is and apple,
the other is a lemon (at least when it comes to linux useability).  Check
out the spca50x driver project (http://spca50x.sf.net/) for more gory
details.

I would also bet my youngest son's left testicle on the fact that Kodak has
never released driver details for these cameras that do work and that they
use some standard format that "just works" (no, I haven't researched this at
all so it's quite possible I'm wrong).  Downloading a JPEG file is a
somewhat different process to processing an undocumented video stream
format.
