Hi,
I recently acquired a Sony SMO-F544 SCSI Internal MO drive from a
company that was having a cleanup and was wondering where I can get some
cheap media for these beasts. From what I recall some months back, the
media brand new was quite expensive, about $50~100 a cartridge.

Is there any places selling MO media for cheap? This drive takes 2.3
and 2.6GB cartridges (512 or 1024 bytes/sector).

Also, how easy is it to get these beasts going under Linux, from my
research, it looks like they're handled like a hard drive, and therefore
appear as /dev/sd?? Is this correct?

Thanks
