If you are using Java, I use hsqldb, it can run as a server / client,
or stand alone, or even as a stand alone applet.  Can't recall the URL
at the moment, but try the obvious.  Otherwise, it's on my file server
available at every meeting.

(Yep, another excuse to plug my server.)
