[H-GEN] hard disk crashed. Help!

Hi All,

I carried my machine yesterday in the car and when I got to work and turned it on and BOOT DISK FAILURE blah blah message came up... It was working fine before.

When i detected HDD from CMOS, sometimes doesn't see it, sometimes sees it and when it detected the Head Cylinders, Sector, then I can boot the machine but I ended up with GRUB prompt..

And I dont know much about the grub command either.

Is there anyway to recover the boot partition?
Oh I have dual boot. WinXP and Redhat(grub)
