Not a dialup!  *gasp*  The horror!

I've happily used a modem for well over five years; as people desert
modem-based ISPs I've enjoyed more reliable connections, more time
online (to the point that I haven't been booted off because I was
taking too much time in *years*) and generally better service than
ever.

Sure, it's not a big pipe.  But guess what?  It does the trick.
