I have done what you want for a real estate agent, it's all possible.

Use fetchmail to grab your email.

The one I setup had half a dozen virus checkers checking the email
before letting the users anywhere near it, the company was paranoid
about viruses.

A dynamic webpage should be telling the proxy that it is dynamic using
the appropriate HTTP headers, Squid will then know what to do. If your
web designers didn't do that, get yourself new web designers.

As I said above, it's viable, I've done it before. Shouldn't be too
hard for a moderate user.

Suse 8.0 Professional has all the stuff you need, including a few virus
checkers and excellent documentation, $155 from everythinglinux.com.au.
Their installation process should setup most of it for you, just
leaving you to configure fetchmail and the virus checkers. I recommend
using qmail instead of the sendmail that comes with Suse, cause it's
easier to setup, and very secure.
